Attorney Lynn Poster-Zimmerman Elected President of Suffolk County Bar Association
The staff here at the Law Office of Lynn Poster-Zimmerman, PC is proud to announce that Attorney Lynn Poster-Zimmerman was elected President of the Suffolk County Bar Association (SCBA) for 2019-2020. Although we are not surprised that the SCBA membership chose Attorney Poster-Zimmerman as their president, we are pleased to witness this achievement for our lead attorney and the opportunities it presents to the leadership and organization of the SCBA.
About the SCBA
The SCBA was established in 1908 as a private organization that represents the professional need of the lawyers, judges, and law students who make up its membership. The SCBA’s mission statement is to “[cultivate] the science of jurisprudence, promoting reforms in the law, facilitating the administration of justice, elevating the standard of integrity, honor and courtesy in the legal profession and cherishing the spirit of brotherhood among the members thereof.”
Attorney Poster-Zimmerman has had an active role in the leadership of the SCBA for years. She previously served as secretary and treasurer of the SCBA, as well as chair of both the SCBA Task Force on Mandated Indigent Defense Services as well as its Task Force on Rules for Attorneys Representing Children.

Lynn Poster-Zimmerman is the founding partner of the Law Office of Lynn Poster-Zimmerman, PC. She was admitted to practice law by the New York State Bar in 1984 after graduating with a Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University School of Law in 1983.
For much of her legal career, Attorney Poster-Zimmerman has dedicated much of her practice to helping those in times of need and during a family crisis, delivering compassionate legal services that focus on the individual needs of each client and the specific circumstances of their cases.
